In accordance with 18 AAC 34.900(g), an applicant is eligible for a refund if the applicant pays the fee and:

• Withdraws the application before the permit or approval to operate is issued; or
• The Department denies the application.

The Department will return any unused balance of the fees paid after deducting $71.00 per hour for the staff time that was spent to review and process the application before it was withdrawn or denied. A summary of deductions will be provided to the applicant.

Other permit fees are not refundable, including waiver or variance fees.
