Due to the size of this camp and the length of its operation, no approval is needed from the Department of Environmental Conservation.

Operators are advised to follow the best management practices for small camps.
Incorrect Application

Due to the size of this camp, it does not qualify for the small camp authorization process and must go through standard permitting, plan reviews, and authorizations.

The wastewater system is subject to plan review and approval.

Alaska requirements for food safety, drinking water, and solid waste apply to this camp.

The $30 wastewater fee does not apply.
For the purpose of this application's wastewater regulations, "remote" is defined as an area that:
- Has no year-round access to a major road system (a system of connected roads with a total length of 100 miles or more); and
- Is at least 25 road miles away from the nearest community or paved highway.

All small camp authorizations expire on December 31 and must be renewed. A renewal notice will be mailed to the address on file.

To renew this authorization for the next year, the next year's annual fee must be submitted to the Department of Environmental Conservation. A new application is not required as part of the renewal process if there are no changes from the previous application.
